History

Separated

[SSR] began as an unofficial squad, a small group of people enjoying themselves with a fake squad tag in front of their names: Agent Delta, Agent Panzer, and Agent Shield. There were others, but they are not central to the story. Panzer wanted power, and his plan was to join the then-esteemed squad SK and form an official SSR when he reached level 60. Agent Delta also chose to leave for V, a lesser squad at the time. Agent Shield, the self-proclaimed leader, was unhappy about this and removed the squad tag from his name shortly before changing it entirely. He then ignored his former friends and went inactive.

Allied

Delta went on to found the official squad at level 59, with help from the ACE Alliance. The main contributor was ScreamingSCOPE, who lent Delta some members from [ACE] to form [SSR]. Agent Delta felt so indebted to the Alliance that he decided to join them, naming the squad [ACE-SR]. [ACE-CA] soon followed, and the AA flourished. Its only major competition was SK, which had recently formed [SK.S] and was laying down plans for [SK.A], to be led by Agent Panzer, now simply known as Panzer.

This competition grew extremely intense, leading to exciting squad wars, but also verbal aggression between the two sides. This did not please Delta, especially when Mors, the leader of [ACE] and the AA, started becoming toxic. Eventually, Mors was permanently muted on the War Brokers server and started an alt account. At that point, Delta had had enough.

Independence

Agent Delta could not stand Mors, especially after he had blatantly disobeyed Discord and War Brokers rules. Delta left the AA and formed a new alliance with [R], a squad led by former member SargentSantos64: the SRA. Both squads gained many members and had frequent squad wars. Agent Raptor, a member since [ACE-SR], was promoted to lead alongside Agent Delta, as was a new joiner named Agent Blackops. Back then, members were heavily encouraged to add Agent to their names as a tribute to the early days. Eventually, squad members slowly drifted into inactivity, and a new era settled in.

Aftermath

Agent Raptor was one of the first to go, simply stopping coming online. After he was gone, more and more members either left the squad or were kicked for inactivity. The squad was down to four people: Agent Blackops, Agent Killjoy, We The People, and Agent Delta. Blackops and Delta changed their rank to Sargent out of power lust, while Killjoy and We The People were largely inactive in the game itself. [R] was in even worse shape than its once fruitful ally: Santos was gone, the leadership had dissolved, and it had a single semi-active member.

Then one day, Superdeath and his brother Gun Down joined [SSR]. Superdeath was quickly promoted to leader and renamed himself Sargent Superdeath, while Gun Down stuck with Agent. After the new leader joined, [SSR] started to rise again and soon reached the member capacity of 16. Agent Delta changed his name to Kindness as a rhetorical opposite of Agent Killjoy, and the name stuck. Killjoy became Darkness. However, the member cap led to problems as more and more people wanted to join the squad. There was one simple resolution.

Burnout

Darkness and FlamingCriminal, led by Superdeath and Gun Down, formed the subsquad [E] to allow more members to join [SSR]. With reduced requirements and a smaller player population, it was the perfect haven for those wanting to join [SSR]. However, the concept never took hold. Almost nobody joined [E], and interest in both squads soon diminished again, especially after Superdeath and Gun Down went inactive.

Kindness merged [SSR] with [SST] and made their leader, Notu, leader of [SSR] as well. But Kindness had led the squad for nine months since its founding and was beginning to get fed up. He left the squad in search of a relaxing vacation and joined [BoA], Panzer's squad. He was soon promoted to leader as a trusted member of the community. However, Panzer pestered him about small details, and it eventually went too far when Panzer attempted to remove him from the squad after Kindness had not provided map options for a squad war with [IMT] while he was away. Instead, Kindness overruled him before the mods could remove him, then removed himself from [BoA].

Kindness sifted through different squads before hearing of [SSR]'s ill fate: Notu had gone solo, and Sargent Blackops had gone inactive and deleted both his War Brokers and Discord accounts without warning. Kindness, although wanting a break from leading, still cared for [SSR] and knew something had to be done.

Merge

Kindness told the moderator Red Stone about his situation, and Red Stone reinstated him as leader of SSR. Kindness began promoting the squad again. The WW Wizard joined as a leader, and together they purged the squad of inactive members. This marked the start of a new order for [SSR]. WW left shortly after, feeling he was too inactive to be a member of the squad.

This opened the door to a new opportunity: the merge. [IND] had wanted to merge with [SSR] for a few days, feeling it would benefit both sides. Kindness saw the alleged value, though WW thought a merge would be hasty and impulsive. When WW left, Kindness was disappointed but also elated by the new opportunity. Over the next two days, Kindness and the [IND] leaders worked out details, and [MCF] was formed.

Petefrompittsbur of [BoA] was the deciding factor for the name. He proposed it to symbolize both squads, as the Marine Commando Forces, or MCF, were a division of the Indian Navy dedicated to surveillance and reconnaissance. With this merge, [SSR], now known as [MCF], gained three leaders: Praneel, KillerFriend, and Effect.
